Sithole humbled by another big TV role

Bloemfontein born Actress, Jessica Sithole, bags herself a role on Mzansi Magic’s hottest telenovela Gomora.

Sithole will be playing a character of Nolo Makinta, a failed slay queen who‘s been traumatised by men.

Speaking to the Free State Insider, Sithole said she feels so humbled to have bagged this role.

“I was nervous at first, getting a call that I got the role. However, I knew that my audition was good. This is quite and thrilling trial and it is also an adventure for me because I never thought of playing such a character after Nyakallo on the River” she said

After her role on The River, Sithole thought things would be easy for her because she was one foot into the industry, but she had to go back and knock on those doors again. she still had to audition, get a few no‘s but she persevered.

She believes that perseverance is what put her where she is today and to her perseverance is the goal.

She further said, “I feel so blessed to be working with Katlego Danke, who has been in the industry for such a long time and not only her but also other cast crew members. This is a dream come true for me and I thank the Almighty God for his profound grace upon my life. Being where I am today has definitely reassured me of his undying love. I give him glory and honor.”

Mzansi Magic revealed that Sithole will be working closely with one of the lead actresses, Katlego Danke, who plays the role of Onthatile Molefe Ndaba.

Sithole got her first big break when she played Nyakallo in the award winning telenovela, The River. Nyakallo was introduced to the Dikana family to fill in for her aunt Flora and her choral duties. She came across as shy and obedient, but later falls in love with not only her boss but a married man.
