Botshabelo: The local community radio station in Botshabelo Mosupatsela fm has received new Multimillion broadcasting equipment from Media Development Diversity Agency (MDDA).

The 20 years long Radio station, which is broadcasting in Free State and Lesotho was using temporary studios for about 3 months, while the new equipment was being installed.

Speaking to the Station Manager Juwaan Fubane the equipment has boosted the moral of the presenters.

“Since the equipment has been installed our presenters have shown more interest and they have developed their shows content,” said Fubane.

He added that the equipment which is digital broadcasting will enable them to have new investors and attract more listeners.

“We are hopeful that the investors will come and advertise with us. We also call unto others to come and do business with us,” he added.

Mosupatsela FM dubbed “The Free State Hottest Frequency” is the fourth station to receive the equipment after they’d been using the analogue only equipment since their inception.

Soon after the station announced and posted newly installed digital studios, Many listeners used calls, while others used social media platform such as facebook and twitter to congratulate the station for what others defined it as blessing by fallen workers.

Meanwhile this happens at a time where Icasa has shut down and advertised licenses of stations that failed to obey it’s laws. Some of those station had in the past received similar equipment.
